Floria González is a conceptual artist born in Monterrey, Mexico, who studied photography and video art in San Antonio, TX, and Mexico City. Her last series of images “Postparto I y II” is a reflexive set of pieces about her recent motherhood and how and the impact in her life.

With these series, Gonzáles shares her personal struggles and fears of live behind social and cultural taboo using surreal characters and metaphoric images, full of color and texture, the series generate new perspectives around some essential aspects in Mexican life, as motherhood, gender equality and economic independence.
