‘Gems of the Baltic’ by photographer Erich Deleeuw is a series of graphic, symbolically rich images from his travels to the Baltic Sea. Deleeuw returned with photographs that seem reflective of the photographer’s own amusement and his curiosity towards his fellow camera-equipped tourists. Humor can be difficult to achieve in visual art forms, but the playful images succeed through their many wonderfully human moments and colorful oddities.
Deleeuw is a photographer currently living in Toronto, Canada. He is studying photography at Ryerson University, and also works as a photo lab technician.
