In the winter of 2014, photographer Wouter Van de Voorde set out to photograph the sunrises near his current town of Canberra, Australia. With scenes that look like they are straight out of The NeverEnding Story, Van de Voorde captures the mist filled moment during sunrise that appears as if it would also be an eerie glimpse of dusk. As the early morning light drains the landscape of color before the sun hits it, Van de Voorde photographs the thin layer of frost that engulfs everything in its path, creating an iced silver glow that shines through the foggy terrain.
