Pink, nude flesh tones permeate throughout the work of Aaron McElroy in his recent photo series ‘I Lied.’ Intimate and erotic, there is a convincing sense of narrative that makes his images more than just an attempt to give artistic credit to knickers, sweat patches and female body parts.

Arranged so as to encourage the reader to come to their own conclusions, ‘I Lied’ follows a similar vein to past projects such as ‘Nocturnes’ and ‘After Wake’ which look to explore female sexuality in an intriguing relationship that subtly acknowledges the role and presence of the photographer.
