The break room is supposed to offer 15 minutes of rest, respite and relaxation. But sometimes sitting in that windowless room in the basement, that room at the end of the hall with the sticky table and leftover coffee can lead to ... thoughts. Robert Falco, who lives and works in Oakland, opens his solo show called Nightmares In The Break Room at pt.2 Gallery and invites viewers to share his visions at a reception from Noon till 10:00 pm on Saturday, September 14, 2019. With a BFA in painting from the San Francisco Art Institute, Falco dishes up delights ranging from oil on canvas to mixed media on stretch vinyl. His visual lamination could be a veneer, could be a highlight, could be a disfigurement, so you have till October 4, 2019, to decide for yourself.

Also opening that night is Jean Nagai’s There is Know Center and a group exhibition curated by Jean called Some Kind of Texture (which is a very enticing name.) Come check out those works by Chito K.K., Greg Shimada, Johanna Jackson, Jordan Ann Craig, Lilah Slager Rose, Markus Mazza, Phoebe Rose and Rhiannon Griego.
