Preview: Newly ordained minister and street art OG, D*Face, set to open "Happy Never Ending"
Corey Helford Gallery in downtown Los Angeles to host the British artist D*Face's major solo show, Happy Never Ending, one in which the artist will be officiating an actual wedding inside the gallery on opening night, September 23rd. The show runs through October 21, 2017.
D*Face has long been synonymous with street art's rise from cult underground art form to one of the most beloved and famed genres in the world. His paintings have been a collision of pop art references with comic book humor, and his career has been a balance of major murals and grand exhibitions. Happy Never Ending will be D*Face’s only U.S. solo show this year, and according to the gallery, "will be a full immersive experience as he is set out to resurrect romance in the modern era." But here is the kicker: D*Face was recently ordained and in connection with the theme of his show (bringing back a little romance into the modern era), he will perform a real marriage ceremony during opening night (9/23) in front of a chapel installation inside the gallery.
