Coinciding with the Berlin Art Week 2017, a group of Berlin-based artists teamed up to show their work in a group exhibition titled More Than This. The show will be open from September 2nd until September 24th @ Mommsenstraße 35, and will include a selection of paintings, drawings, cutouts and sculptures.
Showing a wide range of techniques and styles, all the works exhibited are produced in a curious and dynamic spirit that characterizes Berlin creatives. Hong-Kong born Andrea Wan is presenting her inks on paper which serve as a visual journal that reflects her thoughts and experiences while Chilean artist and former graffiti writer Pablo Benzo is exhibiting his mysterious, cubism influenced oils, as well as collages and assemblages. His fellow countryman Matias Santamaria will be showing a series of abstract, science fiction inspired landscape illustrations and SF-born Maxine Puorro prepared a series of sculptures concepted around the idea of plant's limited mobility and propagate possibilities. This DIY event is celebrating Berlin's vibrant creative environment through works that morph, expand and explore beyond the usual expectations of the common production process. ––Sasha Bogojev
