lil swim is a group show at San Francisco's The Luggage Store, curated by Yarrow Slaps and Auguste Somers of the artist collective SWIM. SWIM was founded in 2013 to bring artists and and other creative people together to connect and collaborate, and first participated in the Luggage Store’s “Short Cuts” program, a mentoring program for young artists predominantly of color.

lil swim will be a showcase of predominantly young contemporary artists from SF and around the country, many of whose work contains social and political commentary in a variety of artistic styles. There will also be work by a number of established artists, such as Joe Roberts (lsdworldpeace), Os Gemeos, Brett Amory, and others. SWIM will also be releasing its first magazine (designed by Jonathon Freeman) in conjunction with the show at The Luggage Store. The magazine is both a document of SWIM’s past and exciting new endeavors; these will be for sale at the show.
