HUEMAN is opening her latest solo show Veiled Intent tomorrow night at Mirus Gallery's new location in Denver, CO. The Oakland-based artist comes from a background in graffiti and street art, but has moved her practice indoors and closer to abstraction than the hyperreal faces she painted in the past. Her latest body of work explores fleeting moments and representations of energy, through materials that maintain shape even once one has left. They are generally a meditation on light, space, and time.
Mirus Gallery's new location in Denver is their second location, following their flagship gallery in San Francisco where they've shown some Juxtapoz favorites such as Low Bros, Felipe Pantone, AEC Interesni Kazki, MARS-1, and many more.
