Tokyo-based painter Madsaki has been gaining international attention over the past few years for his works that remix, re-imagine and at times, destroy our perceptions of art history and pop-culture. With collaborations with Takashi Murakami, Madsaki has a certain style and aesthetic that brings a new way of looking at the Superflat concept. His latest showing, Combination Platter, shown with Perrotin Gallery at the Central Embassy Bangkok, amasses his recent works under a new presentation.
We have interviewed Madsaki for the print magazine in the past, as well as had him as a featured artist in Juxtapoz x Superflat. Stay tuned for more Madsaki news coming up in the near future!
