'Sarah and Writhing Octopus' is part of the New Wave Series by Masami Teraoka, completed in 1992. Masami often focuses on itegrating reality with fantasy, humor with commentary, and history with the present in his work- addressing social and political issues. His work has been the subject of more than 70 solo exhibitions, many of which have traveled extensively.
