Over the weekend, one of Sacramento’s most prolific artists and musicians, Daniel Osterhoff aka Whore 24 or DJ Whores, passed away unexpectedly.

A father, sign painter, DJ, designer and graffiti writer, Whore 24 was a monumental figure to Sacramento’s creative scene. A graffiti writer since the late ‘90s, Osterhoff became a household name in Sacramento’s music scene under the name DJ Whores, playing relentlessly, as well as giving the opportunity for countless up and coming DJs to find a platform. More recently Osterhoff’s work graced a number of local businesses, creating brand identity and signage through his exceptional skills as both a designer and sign painter. His work can be seen adorning the facades of Dad's Sandwich Shop, Amaro, Bottle & Barlow, Sail Inn, Jackrabbit Brewing Company, B-Side, Art Street, Dimple Records, LowBrau, Black Black and many other businesses around town. Loved by many, his absence will be forever felt in Sacramento and beyond. We love you DanO!

There is currently a GoFundMe Campaign to help his family pay for Osterhoff’s hefty medical bills.
