Kat Weiss is an illustrator and designer from Hong Kong, currently based in New York City. She explains her work, saying, "My perspective is both inquisitive and light-hearted, and my goal is for viewers to find both meaning and amusement in my work. Over time, I have also developed a personal signature hand-lettering style, in which I combine my knowledge of type design with a child-like sensibility. As I continue to grow as an artist, I find it increasingly important to preserve the natural sense of wonder that comes with dreaming up and creating images. I am always one to approach work with humor and fun. The images I create come as a result of playful and intuitive processes, which take place in my sketchbook - a visual journal of sorts." She is constantly sketching from life and memory, shown here is her most recent series: Sex Objects.
