With the 'Petty Girl' George Petty created an American icon who appeared in cartoons, magazines, motion pictures and even helped keep the morale of the troops high during World War II. His work ranged from magazines and calendars to the movie industry and advertising. With the latter he created the now legendary images used to promote the Rigid Tool Company.
