During the weekend of the 25th to the 27th of September, Ironlak Family members BATES, JURNE and KEMS will be joining over fifty graffiti artists hailing from around the world for a three day weekend of live painting in Ithaca, New York. You can watch the murals take shape during the weekend long celebration, be inspired, embrace creativity and art within the Ithaca community.
Get-Up State is an Ironlak collaboration with the Cap Matches Color project designed to bring together writers and to give back to supporters of their documentation and archiving efforts towards the preservation of spray paint knowledge and history. Get-Up State will kick off on Friday, September 25th at Cornell University Press Building (770 Cascadilla Street, Ithaca, New York). Spanning across two giant warehouses, Cap Matches Color have secured the perfect event site to showcase the incredible variety of talent from special guest artists.
The weekend celebration will also involve a group art show including original artworks from all the special guest artists, along with several guest DJs – open to the public (free entry). The show will be on Saturday, 26 September from 7pm-9pm upstairs at LOT 10 Bar and Lounge – 106 S. Cayuga Street, Ithaca. Following this will be live painting in the adjacent beer garden to end the second day of the three day weekend celebration. Get there!
