Austrian born painter Egon Schiele (1890) was quite clearly a protégé of Symbolist painter Gustav Klimt. Schiele was a major proponent of the Expressionist Movement of the early 20th century creating images with twisted faces and body shapes. Schiele's vast body of work includes subjects which are most often nude exhibiting strong sexual overtones much like the works of his mentor.
