Exploring sex, sexuality and identity as concepts, Dirty Dirty Love is an on-going series pivoting around my interactions with individuals and couples in domestic and private settings. Each image showcases real-life encounters that depict the vulnerable naturalism of sex rather than the sensationalized projections found in mainstream media.
The models are all volunteers, drawn to the project for reasons of their own but motivated to share their intimacy with others. The work begins as a conversation between the model(s) and myself as we explore the nuances of what makes them who they are behind closed doors. From there I take a step back and adopt the roll of documentarian, quietly observing their behaviors. The resulting images are a privileged and deglamourized look into how we live when think no one is watching.
