Brooklyn oil painter Daniel Maidman specializes in mostly figurative works but also has some interesting studies involving objects and landscapes. This series entitled Blue Leah examines each part of his subject's form from her hands to her feet allowing the viewer to soak in her essence. These works are intriguing because of the way in which the calming blue glow bounces off of Leah's skin. Color seeps into Daniel's subject softening the rawness of this series.
