Renowned photographer Bettina Rheims had her first exhibition in 1981, featuring strip-tease artists and acrobats. She discovered her love of photography after working as a model, and later as a journalist and art dealer. For her series 'Just Like a Woman,' "Rheims shoots her models from above for the first time, placing them in a closer and more intimate relationship to herself. She captures the women waking up in the morning, still half-asleep in the throes of a beautiful agony between pleasure and suffering… What they feel in this fleeting moment can only be read in their eyes."
