Alessandro Biffignandi was born in Rome in 1935, and supposedly he still lives there today. He painted hundreds of pulp covers and comic covers (aka “fumetti”) throughout the 50?s, 60?s and 70?s, occasionally even drawing for comics. In the 80?s he moved towards book cover illustration, and the 90?s found him focusing on calendar art. He is mostly a genre painter, focusing on the horror, spy, war, and science fiction genres.
