In pocket size sketchbooks, Akira Horikawa draws and reinterprets images that come into his mind, happenings, dreams, and emotion at the time. Through the activity, he tries to re-evaluate values and cognition that he has experienced in his life to welcome the nonsense with awe. His bizzare, sometimes sexually forward simple illustrations are stark and minimal but evoke the mind with strange, new possibilities.
