TIMF 2012 Features The xx, Girl Talk, Joanna Newsom, Best Coast, Public Enemy, M83, The Presets, Grimes, Gossip, Porter Robinson, the Bay Area debut of Divine Fits, and more!

San Francisco, CA – October 12, 2012 The 2012 Treasure Island Music Festival (presented by Another Planet Entertainment and Noise Pop) takes place this Saturday and Sunday from picturesque Treasure Island in the San Francisco Bay.  Now concert-goers can be even more connected to everything that happens on site with the Treasure Island Festival mobile app.  Available for Apple, Android and Blackberry users, the app provides up to the minute news and information about the performers, the schedule and map of the festival grounds.  Download your app here: http://www.treasureislandfestival.com/2012/festival-app/ - and don’t forget to use #TI2012 when tweeting and instagramming!

Due to traffic congestion and a shortage of parking, there will be no parking on the island, unless you have purchased On Island Parking. We will be providing complimentary transportation on and off the island to all single and two-day ticket holders.

Treasure Island Music Festival offers one of its finest lineups to date, with headliners Girl Talk and The xx, who will be making their only U.S. festival appearance in 2012.  The lineup also includes Public Enemy (marking their 25th Anniversary), a rare festival appearance by Joanna Newsom, M83, The Presets, Grimes, Gossip (making their first stop back in the Bay Area since 2009), Best Coast, Porter Robinson, SBTRKT, Divine Fits (Spoon’s Britt Daniel and Wolf Parade’s Dan Boeckner making their Bay Area debut), Los Campesinos! and Wild Belle. The San Francisco Bay Area will be well represented by Toro y Moi, Tycho, Ty Segall, The Coup, Imperial Teen, K.Flay, and Dirty Ghosts.  The lineup is rounded out by the likes of Araabmuzik, Youth Lagoon, Matthew Dear, The War On Drugs, and Hospitality.

But TIMF offers more than just amazing music --- TIMF also has incredible front of house attractions,  which offers an eclectic mix of the best Bay Area crafters, poster artists, designers and tastemakers sharing and selling their fantastic creations, as well as amazing sculptures, the second year of the wildly popular headphone-loving Silent Disco, and TIMF’s legendary 60 ft. ferris wheel!

The good news is that the San Francisco Giants have heroically advanced to the National League Championship Series. However due these circumstances, we have to move the shuttle bus pickup/drop off location from Lot A at AT&T Park to the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium to accommodate the NLCS.

Bill Graham Civic Auditorium is located at 99 Grove Street in the heart of San Francisco, adjacent to a number of MUNI lines and the Civic Center BART station. Click Here for the Map

There will be a complimentary bike valet at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.

If you are planning on driving, parking is available at several lots in a three block radius of the Bill Graham Civic, including the Civic Center Garage which is adjacent to the BGC.  The garage entrance is off of McAllister Street between Polk Street & Larkin Street.  Parking rates vary.

All general admission and VIP tickets include complimentary bus pick-up from the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco to and from the festival site on Treasure Island. You DO NOT have to have tickets in hand to board the shuttle and you will be able to purchase tickets at the box office if they are still available. Shuttles will run on a continuous loop throughout the day beginning at 11:00am.

Since its inception in 2003, Another Planet Entertainment has produced and promoted events with artists as diverse as Radiohead, Dave Matthews Band, Neil Young, Daft Punk, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Metallica, Paul McCartney and Kanye West. In its first year of operation, Another Planet was selected by a vote of its concert industry peers as "Promoter of the Year" in the United States by Pollstar Magazine. Now a Bay Area staple, Another Planet is the exclusive promoter for the Greek Theatre (Berkeley), the Fox Theater in Oakland, The Independent in San Francisco and Harvey's Outdoor Amphitheatre in Lake Tahoe. In 2010, APE was honored to be awarded the exclusive contract to operate the historic Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.
