We have long been fans of Dutch painter, Joram Roukes, in our offices, and have featured him both in the magazine and on our site. He currently has a new body of work up at Masters Projects in Brooklyn, which will have a reception on February 5 and on view through March 14, 2015. The gallery says of Roukes works that, "Roukes’ collage-like paintings of anthropomorphic-hipsteresque-hybrids set within dystopian landscapes visually invoke cultural tensions through realist and expressionistic painting styles." Roukes' work is being shown alongside American artist Charles Wilkin.
