Wes Anderson and Juman Malouf to curate/create exhibition for Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna

February 06, 2018

Anyone want to go to Austria with us later this year? According to Frieze, the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna will be hosting an exhibiting curated and created by Wes Anderson and the novelist and designer Juman Malou, which will run from September 11, 2018 to January 20 2019. As Frieze notes, "he couple will select pieces from the Kunsthistorisches Museum’s extensive collection of musical instruments, armour and weapons, Greco-Roman antiquities, as well as imperial carriages and sleighs from the Wagenburg museum. According to a statement from the Kunsthistorisches Museum, the exhibition will then travel to Venice to the Fondazione Prada." Something about Wes Anderson, Vienna, antiquities and then Venice just seems really perfect.

As you may know by now, Wes Anderson’s next directed film, Isle of Dogs (trailer above), will have its world premiere next week at the Berlin Film Festival.
