In what has become a great tradition, NY-based artist Shantell Martin will be the newest "art director" in the seventh edition of the New York City Ballet's Art Series. In the past we have seen the likes of Marcel Dzama, Faile and JR take over the ballet, and this year's edition will see Martin's signature black and white drawing serve as the art and backdrop for the Ballet's performances on February 2, 8 and March 2, 2019. Get tickets here.

As our friends at KRINK note, with whom Martin uses their markers: "Martin has created an immersive, site specific installation in Lincoln Center on view during the six-week winter performance period. Special Art Series performances, which include an exclusive gift designed by Martin.."
