Installation

Marcel Dzama for the New York City Ballet Art Series

January 08, 2016

New York City Ballet's special Artist Series has come to be one of our favorite artistic collaborations in recent years. From Dustin Yellin to JR and FAILE, the series features special performances and installations created by different artists. This years has us especially excited! Starting January 19th, Marcel Dzama will create a major installation at the Lincoln Center for the six-week winter season and put on three special performances!

The three special Art Series performances—with all tickets just $30, a post-performance party, and a free takeaway for each audience member created by the artist—will take place on February 6, 11, and 19. On the program for all of these Art Series performances is The Most Incredible Thing, a new ballet by choreographer Justin Peck, with original music by Bryce Dessner of The National, and sets and costumes designed by Marcel; this is the first year that an artist has simultaneously created work for both Art Series and a New York City Ballet production.

Juxtapoz readers can purchase exclusive pre-sale tickets now through Saturday, January 9th at 11:59pm.
