The Herschel Supply x Booooooom Heritage backpack

This June, Herschel Supply and Booooooom joined together to present "Drawing On The Past", an art project inviting members of the Booooooom and Herschel Supply communities to hand draw a person, place or thing that has had a positive impact on their lives.

Jeff Hamada and Herschel Supply not only share a hometown of Vancouver, but also share a devotion to creativity and design. The goal of this natural partnership is to encourage people to experiment with being creative. In true partnership form, Herschel Supply partnered with Booooooom's owner to create a limited edition number of backpacks rendered in a rich green cotton canvas exterior and adorned with a unique hand drawn internal liner.

Featured through out the liner of the Heritage silhouette, the print is a literal interpretation of "Drawing On The Past", that sees Jeff's childhood camp sleeping bag print re-drawn by illustrator Andrea Wan. "It's been a great experience working with Herschel Supply to bring this personal project to life. I've always felt that art should be fun and accessible to anyone, and it's always a pleasure to work with a brand that feels the same way." - Jeff Hamada, Booooooom

"The idea for this partnership evolved very naturally out of a series of everyday conversations. We both wanted to create something that featured design and creativity at its core. Getting to work together and pull in the artistry of the drawings has been great." - Jamie Cormack, Co-Founder Herschel Supply Co.The Herschel Supply x Booooooom Heritage backpack is finished with full grain leather detailing, padded straps, front woven label and an internal media sleeve. This exclusive style is a limited run with only 75 units.

Booooooom was launched in 2008 by Vancouver-based artist Jeff Hamada. It is now Canada’s highest traffic art blog, and one of the largest on the Internet. The site is an authoritative voice in the new contemporary arts scene, highlighting emerging talents, and launching the careers of many young artists internationally.
