Meghan Hildebrand's Imagination

September 12, 2013

Meghan Hildebrand's paintings, which she describes as "story-maps of the imagination", are constant exercises in innovation and improvisation.  With her unique vocabulary of symbols, she translates the landscape into electrifying dreamscape scenarios, each image alluding to a much larger narrative.

Born and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon, Meghan went on to study art at the Kootenay School of the Arts in Nelson, BC and the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design in Halifax, NS.  She has worked and resided in Powell River, on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, since 2004.
