John Lisle was born a preemie in Canada on Halloween. He was raised in Texas and now works as a freelance illustrator in Brooklyn. John is clearly influenced by many different decades of our past and his work also gives us a possible glimpse into the future. John's works resembles fashion illustrations in some ways and he expresses his urge to "render some sort of super-natural feminine force." This is an artist who is not afraid to explore patterns, colors and gradients in his artistic celebration of women. John says of his works: "I’m always thinking of new ways to render ideas. It may not look it, but each illustration I make feels like I’ve gotten something out of my system and tried something new, and I always want to keep doing that."
