Kim Jung Gi is a South Korean artist known for his detailed drawings made without photographic reference.

"I observe things all the time. I don’t take references while I’m drawing," Kim says, "but I’m always collecting visual resources. I observe them carefully on daily basis, almost habitually. I study images of all sorts and genres."

Kim Jung Gi's work is currently on display at the Kyoto Kaikai kiki Pop-up Gallery through December 6th, 2015.
