Using nothing more than a mechanical pencil, Alexandra Berg creates these drawings that would fool anyone into thinking they were black and white photographs.

When asked how long one of these drawings takes her to complete, Berg responded that "Almost all of my drawings begin as other people’s photographs—anonymous, disposable, and all tangled up in the interweb. Lately I’ve been trying to sort out how I might work more efficiently, but everything I thought would speed me up, like employing some sort of tracing aid or working in a studio without distraction, seems to slow me down. I need to forget I’m working in order to work. Okay, in answer to your question, usually a good drawing takes a month, but there are exceptions. Hopefully many more to come!"
