New York artist Holton Rower’s series Pour is a wild psychedelic festival for the eyes. The grandson of Alexander Calder, Rower was entrenched in the rich culture of art making early on and has been developing and perfecting his technique for years. Pouring alternating thick layers of paint onto planks, this deceptively simple method gives the viewer a unique feeling of viewing abstract surreal nature photographs. These aggressive Technicolor works are process driven and endlessly fascinating. Watch the video of the process and enjoy.
