So, they were kind of dirty back in the late 1940s and 1950s, huh? Louis K Meisel Gallery in NYC is set to host the "Great American Pin-Up,"  an exhibition that features "an outstanding selection of oils by Gil Elvgren, watercolors by Alberto Vargas, and pastels by Rolf Armstrong. The 47-piece collection contains many rare oversized pin-ups that include compositions of the ‘girl next door’ to scenes that verge on fantasy." We aren't sure why the Mel Ramos painting from 2013 is up on the site, so maybe this show collects a half-century of pin-ups?

The show runs from April 2—May 2, 2015.
