We show a familiar face on this edition of our A Portfolio series, one of our favorite LA artists and showing with Thinkspace and Tlaloc Studios at the Brand Library this weekend, Isaac Escoto, aka SICKID. As a graffiti artist, SICKID brought a comic book aesthetic to the work, and his paintings were densely packed wonderlands of crime, debauchery, daily life and a bit of fun.

"I'm not an activist artist or anything; I'm not making protest art. But I feel like I have the ability and the skillset to do something to help spread the message right now. Not like I'm a saint or anything, but it's something I know how to do, and if people are using their skills for the greater good right now, it's worth doing it," SICKID told us a few years back. We can't wait to see more.
