We have long known of the sci-fi work of Swedish painter, Simon Stålenhag. His work always felt like an eerily familiar vision of the future: rural Swedish scenes that could be timeless, mixed with robots and far-off technology that made it feel closer to our reality than say a city scene in Blade Runner. In 2014, Simon published a book of his work, Tales From the Loop, a collection of his paintings at the time.

Now that work is the basis of a new Amazon Original series of the same name, described as "Tales from the Loop explores the mind-bending adventures of the people who live above the Loop, a machine built to unlock and explore the mysteries of the universe – making things previously relegated to science fiction, possible." We can't wait!
