Vans has been on a roll recently with their collaborations, with the van Gogh Museum collaboration still fresh in our minds. Now, the Vault by Vans line have curate four artists to create one-of-a-kind artwork in the theme of 90 years of Mickey Mouse for a special Vault by Vans x Disney capsule. And seeing that both brands, Disney and Vans, are Southern California staples, they asked four staples of SoCal art for the project: Geoff McFetridge, Mister Cartoon, John van Hamersveld and Taka Hayashi to contribute art on both a OG Sk8-Hi LX, and short-sleeved tee. The collection launches on August 25, 2018.

The artist selection fits Southern California well: Mister Cartoon the classic tattoo/graffiti artist, Geoff McFetridge with hands in both contemporary design and fine art, Van Hamersveld the iconic poster artist and Hayashi being one of the leading designers in the indusrty. And then, of course, Mickey has been re-imagined over the years, but the new Vans collection is succinct and well-focused. We will take all four pairs.
