A fashion show should be performative art in many ways, and sometimes that can work vice versa. We have long been obsessed with these "balloon dresses" by Norwegian designer/artist Fredrik Tjærandsen, but really haven't had a chance to dive in. Until now. And literally, it appears that in some ways, you are really diving in. 

If you go to Frederik's YouTube channel, you can see more performances, and the incredible way in which it appears the models could be struggling and yet there is a serene movement to their bodies. “My models find it quite calming. It's when you’re actually putting it on, that's the most uncomfortable bit," Frederik told i-D last year. What you see above is his BA graduate collection show at Central Saint Martin's in London. There has to be a Pulp rewrite in there somewhere.
