Paul Wunderlich's Surrealist nudes

September 03, 2015

Paul Wunderlich was a German painter, sculptor and graphic artist. Influenced by the Art Deco and Art Nouveau movements, his work showcases nudes which were siezed in the 1960s due to their indecent nature. This Surrealist series is brought together by pops of vibrant red in each piece. Wunderlich's work is publicly held in The Museum of Modern Art in New York and The Hirschorn Museum in Washington DC as well as other museums internationally.
