New York's School of Visual Arts is currently preparing their new show titled Street Smart: The Interaction of Art and Design in the City, which they will be hosting at their Chelsea gallery space, 601 West 26th Street, 15th Floor. The show will feature a number of SVA alumni, spanning across multiple mediums of art and design.
New York City has always been a muse to the artists who inhabit it. The group of international artists featured in Street Smart are no different. With 50 new and recent works ranging from site-specific interactive installations, photographs and paintings, to sculptures, designs, and illustrations, the artists of Street Smart aim to create work that is challenging, multilayered and politically engaging, much like the city itself.
