As Elon Musk and Tesla continue to push the boundaries of modern automobile technology, the future gets more and more exciting.
On September 29th Tesla officially launched its brand new 2016 vehicle; dubbed the Model X. This vehicle is so advanced that it actually broke the consumer reports rating system. The car set a new benchmark by scoring a 103 out of 100 in total out of the consumer reports categories including acceleration, handling, fuel efficiency and more. As stated on Tesla’s website:
“Model X is the safest, fastest and most capable sport utility vehicle in history. Standard with all-wheel drive and a 90 kWh battery providing 250 miles of range, Model X has ample seating for seven adults and all of their gear. And it’s ludicrously fast, accelerating from zero to 60 miles per hour in as quick as 3.2 seconds. Model X is the SUV uncompromised.”
Coming in at an estimated (not released yet) starting price of around $75k, it is certainly not the most affordable vehicle to be had. Having said that, it means a lot to have a piece of history with a vehicle that is breaking down barriers in automobile technology. Keep a look out for its official release to the public in 2016 and options for you to get one in your driveway. For more details and information head over to Teslamotors.com/modelx.
