Hip Hop Album Covers Reinterpreted and Abstracted in Minimal Form

January 27, 2017

Daylight Curfew has once again teamed up with the very talented artist / designer Smartestgiant (aka Mick Watson) to launch interpretations of some of their favorite hip hop records, ones that inspire them daily, and those we classify as instant classics. Each are reinterpreted and abstracted in minimal form.

The latest series is inspired by Run The Jewels 3, Illmatic by Nas, Stankonia by Outkast, Hot, Cool & Vicious by Salt-N-Pepa, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy by Kanye West, and Raising Hell by Run DMC.

Each museum-quality giclee' print is sized at 18x24" (unframed). Frame has 2" border, with 3" white french matte border, final framed dimensions: 28" x 34". Printed on 310gsm fine art matte cotton rag and printed with Roland eco archival inks on bleach free, soft textured surface. With proper care these prints will last a lifetime.

The prints will be available here on Friday, January 27th at Noon EST!
