The Criterion Collection is the argument for owning "things," and by "things" we mean a library of DVDs that act like an art book collection or vinyl LP collection. They make the best films better, take forgotten cult classics and illuminate their importance, and put their carefully edited films in a historical perspective. And now, after years of preserving the concept of film, there is a new "Criterion Designs" book to capture the art behind the archival products.
