As you have seen on our site over the past month, we have been showing you some of our favorite finalists for the A'Design Awards, which is the world's largest design competition awarding best designs, design concepts and products & services. It's a great chance to see both the future of progressive design, functional design, and, really, just plain really well though-out inventions. We loved the more interior design elements to the awards, looking at museum layouts and architecture, and now A’Design Awards have published their annual World Design Rankings for 2014: the U.S. takes the top spot, followed by Turkey, Hong Kong, Italy, and Great Britain.

We were surprised to see Japan out of the top 5, but in our opinion, they do "more with less" better than anyone.

The A' Design Accolades are organized and awarded internationally in a wide array of categories ranging from industrial design to architecture. Every year, projects that focus on innovation, technology, design and creativity are awarded with the A' Award to push them further for success.

A' Design Award & Competition is open to submissions from entries in 104 categories. Each category has a distinct evaluation and submission criteria. Submissions can be made to Furniture Design, Interiors, Electronic Devices, Architecture, Packaging, Graphic Design, Ready-Made, Jewelry Design, Interfaces, Web Sites, Transportation, Yacht Design and others.
