Friend of the mag, David Molesky, has an opening tonight, June 27, at a.Muse Gallery in San Francisco. It's either in Potrero Hill or Mission Creek... we can't tell. You may recognize Mr. Molesky from the feature he penned for us on Odd Nerdrum in our May 2013 issue. David's work features intimately-scaled paintings of figures and animals in natural landscapes. His body of work, part of an ongoing series started in 2006, is curated by Greg Flood a frequent contributor to the Examiner’s contemporary arts section. The exhibition title, A Long Moment reflects on the 35 year old’s unique technique which involves repeated layerings and reworkings over an extended period of time, a process which is often absent in the work of many of his contemporaries, known for more fast paced urban work.
