We had to drop by Avant Arte's headquarters in The Netherlands yesterday to check out their latest print release featuring one of our favorite painters, Paco Pomet. The Last Evening,the Spanish artist's debut release with the popular platform, springs from an original oil painting that was included in his debut showcase with Robischon Gallery in Denver back in September 2018.
Renowned for their high-quality edition releases, Avant Arte once again teamed up with Coriander Studio in London to produce an exceptional multiple of Pomet's work. Using mixed media printing techniques on thick Somerset Satin 330gsm paper, the large reproduction measures 100x81cm and captures all the painterly qualities of the original canvas. Through the use of partial gloss varnish, the prints accent the contrast between the warm hues of orange and yellow and the artist's signature monochrome palette. The edition will be released through Avant Arte on April 26th in an edition of 125, signed and numbered by the artist.––Sasha Bogojev
