Painted during our ambitious Juxtapoz Clubhouse project in downtown Miami in 2017, 3x Juxtapoz cover artist and London-based painter Conor Harrington created this massive mural in response to the evolving movement and language around the American flag that coincided with Trump's first year in office. At the time, Colin Kaepernick was being chastised for kneeling during the national anthem, and the America's relationship to patriotism and free speech was at a tenuous moment. This print, a special aerial view photograph of Conor Harrington's Blind Patriot mural in downtown Miami, with the cityspace look south behind it, feels like an extra poignant backdrop to this year's election. The mural speaks of a complicated past, present and future, and as we enter and leave the 2020 election cycle, this work feels as vibrant and essential as ever.

This giclee print is unsigned, 16.5" x 9.3", available ONLY and EXCLUSIVELY at Shop.Juxtapoz.com from October 30—November 6, 2020. Proceeds to benefit the Museum of African Diaspora in San Francisco.
