Up there on top of our holiday gift wishlist is the new BE@RBRICK figure by Haroshi, which was produced by Karimoku and released by MEDICOM TOY. Announced in July but in the making for over three years now, this wooden version of the iconic figure follows the tradition of the Japanese artist's immaculate craftsmanship and aesthetic.

Built from local maple wood that imitates the colorful layers of a skateboard deck (Haroshi's exclusive work material), the figure is 100% Made in Japan and another example of high-quality craftsmanship, two things we're BIG fans of. Hand produced by leading furniture manufacturer Karimoku, the production is so detailed that the wood grain on each arm matches the grain on the torso when moved forward, revealing a perfect continuation of layers.

Released in 400% size, the figures measure 28 centimeters high and allow eight points of articulation, like all the standard BE@RBRICKS. Unfortunately, at the time of publishing, the sales lottery tickets for this figure have already been allocated and the lucky winners will be contacted by MEDICOM TOY with further instructions on how to purchase the bear on December 14th. Sasha Bogojev
