It sort of looks like a Terminator 2 scene, doesn't it? Released in conjunction with Japanese pop artist, Hajime Sorayama's newest solo show, Sorayama Explosion that opened at Nanzuka Gallery in Tokyo this past weekend, Belgian design studio Case Studyo worked with the artist on a porcelain edition. The work comes from the artist's famed "sexy robot" series.
As Case Studyo noted in their press release, "With ‘A Touch of Mercury’, Sorayama masterfully displays his signature aesthetic and pushes the limits of his preferred subject matter: the tantalizing beauty of fusing the female body with robotic technology."
