It's been 250 years since Beethoven's birth, and he is being matched with another master of his craft, the pyschedelic poster designer and artist John Van Hamersveld. John is another legend who's work defines an era; visuals that helped coin the visual vocabulary of 1960s psychedelia. As the head of design at Capitol Records, he illustrated album art for The Beatles, Jefferson Airplane, the Rolling Stones, KISS, and, who can forget, also created the stunning Endless Summer poster art that has been borrowed and re-interpreted for decades and set the standard for contemporary graphic design.
