NYC is about to gear up for its own art fair season, with galleries starting to have some mega shows opening. The legendary R. Crumb, original Zap! Comix artist and one of the real foundational artists of Juxtapoz, is set for both an exhibition, Drawing for Print: Mind Fucks, Kultur Klashes, Pulp Fiction & Pulp Fact by the Illustrious R. Crumb, and book signing for his new Bible of Filth book at David Zwirner this Saturday, February 23rd from 2-3pm at 519 West 19th Street. R Crumb's exhibition will be on view at Zwirner from February 21—April 13, 2019.

As Issue Magazine points out, "Bible of Filth ... is a revised and expanded version of the scandalizing first edition, containing all the pieces in the 1986 release as well as an additional 100 pages of material, including an entirely new selection of work created after 1986." David Zwirner Books, who published the title, notes:

Originally published in France in 1986 by Futuropolis, the first edition of Bible of Filth was never distributed in the United States because of its graphic sexual content, which included some of Crumb’s most explicit comics from underground magazines such as SnatchJizZapXYZBig Ass, and Uneeda. This revised and expanded English edition from David Zwirner Books, printed on bible paper and bound in leather, contains all the original pieces from the 1986 volume as well as over one hundred pages of additional material. Organized chronologically, there are comics from 1968 to 1986 that were omitted from the first edition and an entirely new selection of work created after 1986.
